The Datsun 510, an immaculate beauty created in 1968 until -73. It captures the essence of late 60’s Japanese motor culture; boxy and small, just how we like it. Our favorite model being the coupe, sporting a naturally aspirated 1.6 L L-Series engine producing 95hp. That number is obviously very small but when a tuner gets their hand on them, well that’s a different story.
Rick O’Donnel since high-school has owned a 4-door Datsun 510 and has since made that his daily driver. A love affair soon took over and made him buy the coupe version and modify it for his pleasure. With a near perfect weight balance of 50.5 to 49.5 with only 2300 Lbs. this car is the perfect way to feel the road. Now producing around 400hp this car is a poster boy for car enthusiasts. I need to stop blabbering and just have you watch Matt Farah drive it on /TUNED.
