Ring Ruler; Watch Out Super Cars

Civic Type R 3 As some of you may know, the new 2015 Civic Type R prototype is an insane piece of machinery. Honda hasn’t come out with anything cool since the NSX (in my opinion), and this is their answer. The Type R will rock 305 horsepower and 295 lb feet of torque, produced by a 2.0 L VTEC Turbo four cylinder. The claim is that it is the fastest and most performance oriented Honda ever created, beating out the NSX-R. All this power will be transferred through the front wheels. It will be able to do 0-62 in 5.1 seconds and will accelerate all the way up to 170. Brilliant men over at Honda want to take the Nürburgring fwd record.

Civic Type R 1

The current record holder is the Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy-R, never mind, it’s the 2015 Civic Type R! Renault’s Megane lapped it in 7:54.36, the new Civic lapped it in 7:50.63. That is a Pagani Zonda time there folks (what has the world come to!). This record was only around 9 seconds off of the new Cayman GT4 (my favorite Porsche). Honda decided to make this thing even more bad ass and only give it a manual transmission, thank you car gods. All the aerodynamic pieces are fully functional and the signature interior colors are going to be red and black. 13.7 inch Brembo’s will be tucked away into the front wheels to slow down this little rascal. Special suspension, Dual Axis Strut Front Suspension, is said to tackle the problem of torque steer that front wheel drive vehicles typically suffer from. The only problem is that this car will not be released in America, at the moment. Honda has been struggling to sell in the European market and have been considering releasing the model in the good ol’ United States of America. Please Honda, I beg you to do this.
